Monster Hunter 4 screenshots have been posted to the official website by Capcom. If you head through the link to look at the small 3DS shots, you will notice monsters such as Garara Ajara and Kunchuu – both of which are new to the series. Capcom has posted its Q3 nine-month financial report, revealing a profit surge for the company, despite its admitted “failure” of Resident Evil 6. Digital sales and social titles have also rocketed, resting on a prosperous period for the Japanese player. Its projections remain unchanged.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate shots have landed. Below the break you can have a look at versions for both Wii U and 3DS. Pack shots are also included. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate releases at retail and through the eShop on March 19 in North America and on March 22 in Europe. A demo is slated for February 21 on both Wii U and 3DS. A day-one update adding functionality to support USB keyboards for chat, will also be released. A video showing the game’s intro can be found here.

Capcom’s promised big announcement in Famitsu? If you said Monster Hunter-related, you’d be right. A fully-fledged Vita title? Guess again. The magazine’s unveiled the puzzle-based Airu de Puzuruu in its latest issue this week. The game, which seems to be based from a falling blocks-based concept, features MH’s Felyne characters. It’ll release on June 19 for PSP in Japan.

PlayStation France CEO Philippe Cardon has apparently confirmed a Monster Hunter game for Vita is due in the next few months.

A Monster Hunter title is heading to PlayStation Vita, according to Nikkei Trendy, at some point in second-half 2012. The report claims (via GAF) that the series will arrive on the handheld but in what form isn’t known, meaning it could turn up as a spin-off like Portable 3rd, or Monster Hunter 4, currently a 3DS exclusive.

Capcom’s announced its shipped 1 million units of Monster Hunter 3G in Japan. The 3DS version of the 2010 Wii online RPG launched on December 10, selling 471,055 units in its first week. The series as a whole since its PS2 debut in 2004 has now sold 20 million units. The next main MH installment, Monster Hunter 4, will launch on 3DS, although when exactly is to be confirmed.

Capcom has released a video featuring the introduction to its 3DS title Monster Hunter 3G, and you can watch it below. CVG described the video nicely when it said it contained: “rampaging beasts, absurdly large swords, and of course, cats dressed in armour hunting monsters underwater.” Indeed, that is the case.

Monster Hunter 3G is rumored for a fall release in the western part of the world.
