Sony is making steps towards relaunching the PlayStation Store, activating free PlayStation Plus subscriptions and upgrading PSP’s Firmware, but has confirmed the service will not restart in the next day.

Sony’s said it’s dropping the price of a PlayStation Plus subscription to 15 months’ worth for the price of 12. Become a member of the exclusive club before 3 May and you’ll get the further benefit of the “free” three months. Existing members can take advantage of this offer too, thanks to the new subscription stacking service – renew your membership before your current one has ended, and you’ll get the deal when you subscription lapses.
PS Plus costs €49.99 a year.

Sony has updated information pertaining to PlayStation Plus member in Europe, and it is reminding members that come Friday, folks will be able to download Mass Effect 2 from the PlayStation Store, but also get a one-hour game trial of it.
