Sony kicked off its Festive Giveaway promotion last week by handing out Rymdkapsel and Passing Time to PS Moble users for free. This week, two more great games are free: Gun Commando and Mononoke Slashdown. Over the next few weeks, two new free PS Mobile games will be announced. PS Vita owners can download these games from the PlayStation Mobile section of PlayStation Store.

O2, the mobile phone network, is now offering Xbox One on contract through its stores. Customers can pay £99.99 down on the console when they sign a two-year £52 month contract. The contract comes with the console, FIFA 14, 12 months of Xbox Live, and a Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows 8 phone. In total, by the end of the contract, customers will be paying £1,348 out of pocket. O2 has a similar deal for PS4 and it comes bundled with a Sony Xperia Z1. Thanks, MCV.

Ridge Racer Slipstream has been announced for mobile by Namco Bandai, as part of the series’ 20th anniversary. The title contains 10 tracks, 20 courses, 108 competitions, 12 cars, 300 customization options, six perks, and six Grand Prix series. It also contains career, eight-player multiplayer, and arcade modes along with knockout, quick and normal races. A video is below. Ridge Racer Slipstream arrives on the App Store and Google Play December 19.

Storm of Vengeance is a new title based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It’s being developed for PC and mobile by new licensee Eutechynx, and is said to be a “lane strategy” game.

Starting today for the next five weeks, Sony is giving away two free PlayStation Mobile games each week. The offerings will be updated every Wednesday, and the first two available are Passing Time and Rymdkapsel. All you need to get in on the deals is the PlayStation Mobile App for your Vita or PlayStation Certified smartphone or tablet. The free games deal runs through December 18 and starts back up January 8 – 22. More information through the link.

Three new games have been added to the Humble Mobile Bundle 3, bringing the total up to nine. Desert Bus, Hundreds and Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor have been unlocked for those who pay above the average price, in addition to previous bonuses Ridiculous Fishing and Kingdom Rush. The core pack, which you can choose your own price for, includes Epoch, rymdkapsel, SpellTower and Swordigo. This bundle is Android only, but as usual, all games are DRM-free and you can choose how to split your purchase price between developers, organisers and charity. Only six days remain, so get on board.

The original Infinity Blade can be downloaded for free from the App Store this week. The stripped-back RPG still impresses with its Unreal Engine graphics, and went on to spawn two sequels. The first one will run on most iOS devices, while the latest requires quite new tech, so this is a good opportunity to get some use out of your ageing iPhone and iPod Touch.

Sony has announced it will launch the PlayStation Store for PlayStation Mobile in nine new countries starting December 18. This brings the PS Store to mobile users in total to 18 countries including Japan, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, as well as in newly added countries including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and New Zealand. Prior to the PS Store expansion, Sony will offer the PSM Developer Program which includes distribution of the official PSM SDK in the newly added countries starting December 5.

The Android and iOS version of FIFA 14 has been downloaded 26 million times, according to EA. It’s coming to Windows Phone soon, too. The mobile version is free-to-play, and EA has not given any details of how it’s performing financially, but it topped the App Store’s free games chart in 148 countries, and charted in the top ten grossing iPhone games in 155 countries.
