Report – Zynga looking to add more draw-able brand items to Draw Something
An AdAge report states Zynga plans to add brands into Draw Something as word items for players to draw. The firm is currently selling advertisers the option to include branded item names into the game, starting with the National Hockey League. Granted, you can already draw Doritos and KFC in the game – as our horrible depictions of a KFC bucket can attest – but it sounds as if there will be more brands heading into the game in the near future. Like many gaming apps on mobile, the free version of the game supports ads, where as the paid-app does not.

N.O.V.A. 3 video shows off the multiplayer
Gameloft has released a video for N.O.V.A. 3 – Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance showing off the multiplayer in the iOS and Android shooter. The game includes 10 weapons, six maps, six game modes including Free For All, Capture The Flag & Team Deathmatch , vehicles and customizable characters with weapon add-ons and perks. The game hits the App Store and Google Play this month.

Analyst firm reports 5 million DAU decline in Draw Something
A report from analyst group App Data suggests daily usage for Draw Something has fallen by five million users in one month. The 33% decline comes on the heels of the Zynga buyout of OMGPop which saw the social game firm outbidding other interested parties with a $210 million acquisition. The title continues to fall towards the bottom of the App Store charts, with DAU peaking at 15 million in April to 10 million 30 days later. Thanks, Develop.

Research firm expects tablet sales to hit 375 million by 2016, won’t “cannibalize” PC market
A Forrester Research report states tablet sales are expected to hit 375 million by 2016 with 760 million tablets in use worldwide, an annual growth of 46% compared to the 56 million tablets purchased in 2011.

The Android version of Imangi Studios Temple Run has been downloaded more than 10 million times since it launched three weeks ago. The game was released on iOS last year and has since been downloaded over 36 million times on the format.

Ex-Halfbrick vet sets up Total ArKade Software
Ex-Halfbrick veteran and industry old-timer Tony Takoushi has set up shop as Total ArKade Software. Max Payne Mobile dropping on Wednesday for iOS, Android version dropping April 26
Rockstar’s announced the iOS version of Max Payne Mobile, an optimised version of the first game, will launch this Wednesday. An Android version of the Remedy action title comes out two weeks later on April 26. The game was announced for mobile devices last year alongside the re-announcement of Max Payne 3.
