Roadhouse Interactive will develop a side-scrolling action game for smartphones and tablets based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. In it, players will guide a Space Marine on his journey to destroy “endless hordes of enemies.” Additional details were not provided, and more information will become “available in the coming months.”

A Joystiq preview from GDC has reported that Mechwarrior Tactics will feature cinematic replays after matches as a whole in the strategy title. You’ll be able to upload replays from the game to friends on Facebook, YouTube and Friendster.Tactics launches this year.

MechWarrior Tactics screens show hex and Mechs
Screenshots of MechWarrior Tactics have been posted on Joystiq which show off some of the hex grids in the game. A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games and Roadhouse Interactive’s free-to-play online multiplayer title is due sometime this year, and upon release, player will be able to participate in turn-based asynchronous matches with global leaderboards.
