Battlefield 4′s China Rising DLC is out today, in case you hadn’t noticed via Sam’s videos featuring Silk Road and Guilin Peaks gameplay and Paul Davies’ hands-on write-up. Now, EA has released the launch trailer and screens for it. Hit up the break below. China Rising contains the multiplayer maps: Silk Road, Altai Range, Guilin Peaks, and Dragon Pass. Non-Premium members can download it come December 17.

Battlefield 4′s China Rising DLC is out today for Battlefield Premium members, and VG247′s Sam Clay has posted two gameplay videos for you, featuring his playthrough of Silk Road and Guilin Peaks. Both are below. The DLC releases for non-Premium members on December 17.

Battlefield 4 players can take advantage of a Double XP starting on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, November 28, and through December 5. DICE said the event is its way of thanking players for being patient as it works on launch issues and stabilizing the game. Every multiplayer match will earn you Double XP and on December 5, all players that log into Battlefield 4 multiplayer will be given a M1911 pistol scope. Previously reserved for DICE developers, the special sidearm scope has a 3X zoom and is available for all classes in Battlefield 4. More through the link.

Battlefield 4 has a title update available for Xbox 360, DICE has announced. As promised, the update fixes “stability improvements and crash fixes, coupled with miscellaneous minor tweaks,” in multiplayer. The update is 260MB in size, and detailed patch notes will be published later.The game will be updated on all platforms to increase stability. Yesterday, the firm rolled out a PC server update. Battlefield 4 has topped the Media Create charts in Japan, with 121,699 units moved on PS3 for its debut. Pokemon X and Y, which has been the top seller since it released on October 12, fell into second place. The DICE shooter only bested the Nintendo title by 6,069 units, making it rather close.

Battlefield 4 is here, and the critical verdicts are in. Although not every reviewer was as blown away as the highest scores suggest, BF4 has certainly produced a respectable spread in the upper end of the scale.

Battlefield 4 has a new single-player story trailer available below. There was also one released earlier today which you can view here. BF4 releases October 29 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It will also be made available on PS4 November 12 in North America and in Europe on November 29.
The Xbox One version will be release in North America on November 19 and in Europe on November 21.

Battlefield 4 will offer up 100 ranks, will various assignments available for high-ranking players, and all sorts of other rewards for skill, dedication and the like. This means ribbons, medals, and the franchise’s “deepest online career ever.” The team at DICE is also tweaking it to make it rewarding for newcomers and challenging for returning veterans thanks to a cleaner upgrade path, clearer Ribbon and Medal progression, and the ability to earn 900 unique rewards. DICE has released a list of the changed being made to Battlefield 4 as a result of beta testing. The list is rather huge and can be found through the Battlefield Blog and below. Some of the changes noted on the list include controller layouts for PS3 and X360, framerate, elevator catapulting which actually sounded rather hilarious, and the usual balancing and whatnot.
