Batman voice actor: Arkham Asylum 2 to be “really dark,” will include Two-Face

Afraid Rocksteady’s gonna pull a fast one on us with Arkham Asylum 2 and replace Batman and his rogue’s gallery with Adam West and his famously kooky bat-band of bat-villains and bat-gadgets?
Well don’t be. According to Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, Arkham Asylum 2′s going to be so dark that you might have to readjust the brightness on your TV to see it. Well, ok, not really, but you get what we mean.

Mortal Kombat team becomes WB Games Chicago

After being plucked from financial quicksand by Warner Bros., Midway’s been having a bit of an identity crisis. Now though, it seems the drama’s done and over, because according to superannuation, a very crucial piece of Midway has been rebranded.
The gist of it is that two former Midway employees — who are now with Warner Bros. — list themselves as working for WB Games Chicago on social networking site LinkedIn. One profile also details the guts of WB’s game development force, which “includes Monolith Productions, Surreal Software, Snowblind Studios and WB Games Chicago.”
Midway’s Chicago studio developed Mortal Kombat, among other titles.
We’ve put in an email to Midway asking for confirmation, and will let you know as soon as we hear more.

Rumor: Green Lantern game in the works

According to a post on Venture Beat, a game based on the Green Lantern is in development at Double Helix Games.
The jewelry-fueled superhero will apparently light up the days of both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, though — for now — Warner Bros. is calling the whole thing “rumor and speculation.” Venture Beat, meanwhile, cites multiple anonymous sources “close to the project.”
Odds are, the game is meant to accompany the upcoming Green Lantern movie on its quest for global multimedia domination, though nothing’s been confirmed just yet.

Warner Bros. acquires Snowblind Studios

Snowblind Studios, creator of titles like Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath, and Justice League Heroes, is now officially bedding down with Warner Bros. Guess some people just can’t endure our single, hipster lifestyle.
“The acquisition of Snowblind is an important milestone for our games business, allowing us to expand our development capabilities even further,” said Martin Tremblay, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “We are proud to be associated with such a talented team that is focused on executing innovative and captivating game designs.”
Warner Bros. has now corralled a total of three game development studios: Monolith Productions (F.E.A.R.), TT Games (Lego Batman), and Snowblind, obviously.
Currently, Snowblind is giving its full attention to XBLA game Death Tank. Don’t try calling; you’ll only get the machine.
Full press release after the break.
