The Showdown Effect trailer goes for the slowdown effect
Dave Chappelle was right:everything looks better in slow motion. To add further proof to this concept, Paradox Interactive has released a new trailer for The Showdown Effect showing as much set to Strauss’ lovely waltz, The Blue Danube. Watch below. The Showdown Effect is scheduled for release on March 5.

Magicka prepares for The Stars are Left expansion with large patch and new video
To get folks ready for Magicka’s upcoming expansion,The Stars are Left, a massive patch has been released for the core title through Steam. Those wishing to look over the list of additions and fixes, can do so through here. There’s also a new video for the Lovecraft-inspired campaign posted below, courtesy of EvilAvatar. The expansion is set for a release this winter.

Magicka developer: Cloud-based gaming “inherently flawed”
Patrik Lasota of Arrowhead Games, the team behind Magicka, has criticised cloud-based gaming services, calling them “inherently flawed”, but praised digital distribution for its capacity to deliver frequent patches.
