Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community members will now be able to regulate themselves due to a new governing system put in place by Valve. Called Overwatch, members of the elite group will be chosen to watch out for cheaters, griefers, and other ne’er do wells via an “Overwatch button” on their game menu. When it activated, the Overwatch member will look over eight rounds of gameplay to determine whether the offender noted by other members of the session was indeed in the wrong. A ban will then be set, and the duration of said banning will be determined by how offensive said actions were. Should not enough evidence be found by the investigators, the complaint will be tossed out. The system is currently in beta, and you can look over more on it through the FAQ here.

Poker Night 2, along with Brock Fucking Samson, is now available for iOS. Telltale’s poker simulator will run you $4.99 on the App Store, and also includes Sam and Max, Claptrap, GLaDOS, and my personal hero, Ash Williams. Head over to the App Store and pick it up. The game also available through the Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam, and PSN.

Nick Channon, FIFA 14 producer, has told VG247′s Sam Clay that it’s rather nice for the series to have become part of the “fabric of football.” He also said EA is proud of the fact it can connect the game’s users to the real sport. During the Stifel 2013 Technology Conference on Tuesday, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said the firm plans to support current generation consoles until 2017. Gamespot reports the quote from the conference, which we’ve reported on quite a bit. During it Jorgensen talked about the possibility of a Star Wars: Battlefront game, developments on Wii U and how more games and information on all its titles will be revealed at E3. GameStop has reported its quarterly results for the period ending May 4, with total revenues down 6.8% year-over-year to $1.87 billion, noting declines in both hardware sales and new software. Profits came in at $54.6 million, down 25% year-over-year.

Nvidia has released its GTX 780 graphics card, and while it will run you £549, the thing clocks in at 863 Mhz and can be boosted to 900 Mhz. It also contains 3GB of DDR5 with a memory speed of 6Gbps. MCV says it also has “TDP of 250W and outputs via 2xDL-DVI slots, 1xHDMI and 1xDisplayport.” Whatever all that means. Just tell me if it makes things shiny and I’ll be pleased. Furthermore, the firm also launched its GeForce Experience software which will collects 20 minutes of game footage as you play, as well as analyzes your system to automatically choose the optimum settings configuration for whatever game you’re playing. Nifty.

Skyward Collapse, the turn-based 4X god-sim from Arcen Games, is out today on Mac and PC, and the developer sent over some screenshots and a new trailer for it. The game can be picked up through the official website, Steam, and other distributors. Brenna has been playing the preview build, and as soon as she returns from her much needed vacation, she’ll have some detailed impressions. Earlier today she told me it’s “sort of like playing chess against yourself, only you’re always a total bastard”. Awesome.

Another day, another hope that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be released sooner rather than later. Today, a listing popped up for it on Amazon Germany. AGB has posted a screengrab of the placeholder listing just in case it vanishes. ngmoco Sweden’s Ben Cousins, previously GM of EA’s Easy Studio said last year he’d heard the game was in the works at DICE. This was around the time that EA Games vice-president Patrick Soderlund said DICE was currently working on non-Battlefield titles. E3? Who knows. Keep hope alive.

SEGA has released another teaser image for Sonic: Lost World. This one shows silhouettes of characters we can probably expect to be in the game. The last teaser image was revealed while the last Nintendo Direct was going on, which was when the Wii U exclusive was announced. Check out the teaser image in full below. Arc System Works has signed a deal to use Unreal Engine 3 for its new Guilty Gear game titled Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN. The Guilty Gear series also recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and it’s the first game in the series to use URE3. Get a glimpse of the game below in action, again. The game is currently in development, so platforms and a release date are to be announced at a later date.

Square Enix has announced it will broadcast its E3 presentations live. Dubbed “Square Enix Presents,” the firm will reveal more details on the program’s schedule, games and personalities who will be featured in the coming weeks leading up to E3 in June. The firm says the presentation will “offer a diverse and user-friendly range of programming aimed at sharing unique perspectives with Square Enix’s global audience.” Viewers can expect coverage of all key titles in Square Enix’s 2013 lineup, and the event can be watched through here on YouTube throughout E3′s duration June 11-13.

Epic Mickey 2 will be released on Vita next month, with new features making use of the handheld’s touch capabilities. It will also contain ad hoc network functionality, the ability to control paint, thinner and Oswald’s electric beam, and make use of the “orientation-based controls” for the camera and while driving.
