Blade Guardian is Mistwalker’s new game, due this week
The next game from the talented team at Mistwalker is an iOS tower defence affair called Blade Guardian, founder Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed on Twitter. Due on October 1, it’s Mistwalker’s second major iOS release after surfing title Party Wave. Hit up Eurogamer for a small gallery of images; informaiton is otherwise a bit thin on the ground.

The Last Story release pushed to August 17 in US, 1-3 weeks for Amazon
The Last Story was scheduled to release in the US yesterday, but some stores are telling customers they may have to wait a few days. According to GameStop, the Wii RPG from Mistwalker wont’ release until Friday, August 17. The reason provided was due to “production issues, or trouble getting off the press.” Amazon, on the other hand, has contacted customers with the news it could be another one to three weeks before the game lands in their mailboxes. Party Wave iOS arrival imminent
Action surfing game, Party Wave, is set to hit the crowded shores of Apple’s App Store in the coming weeks, Mistwalker founder and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, has announced.
Speaking via Twitter, Sakaguchi said work that has been completed on Party Wave and that the game has been submitted to Apple, so could be out in as little as 10 days.
The app will cost $1.99 and comes from the studio responsible for Wii RPG, The Lost Story. A trailer for Party Wave can be spied through here.

Nintendo makes GAME return with Pandora’s Tower
Nintendo has reinstalled its support with GAME, with the store set to stock Wii RPG Pandora’s Tower on its website and in store today. The publisher didn’t stock most 3DS and Wii titles with the retailer during its troubled times earlier this year, including Mistwalker RPG The Last Story. The release of Pandora’s Tower in GAME is “very limited and the last print run.”

Mistwalker has three iOS games in the works
Hironobu Sakaguchi has announced he and the team at Mistwalker are working on three new games for iOS, and one is based on surfing, which is a hobby of his. The other two, Sakaguchi is staying mum on for now. That’s all that’s known for now. Thanks, Siliconera.
