Pinball FX2 offers free table to Steam users

Zen Studios will give away its new Pinball FX2 table Sorcerer’s Lair to all Steam users from June 21. Destructoid reports the table will be free indefinitely rather than as a timed promotion. If the new table puts you back in the Wizard mindset, a couple of new premium tables will arrive on the same day – Marvel Civil War, Fantastic Four and Paranormal will be $3 each.

EverQuest Next confirmed as official title of new MMORPG

EverQuest franchise diector Dave Georgeson has confirmed on Twitter that the next EverQuest game is officially titled EverQuest Next. The game was announced under the same moniker way back in 2010, but it was described as a working title only. We’ve heard very little since, although Massively reports development was completely rebooted at least once, so don’t hold your breath; that said, there are hints we may see it this year.

Space Nomads alpha demo available now

Loading Studios has released an early demo of its in-development, first-person tower defence effort, Space Nomads. You can download the demo from the game’s newly launched Indiegogo campaign, which is after CAD $60,000. Be aware that it is probably far from representative of the finished product, but if it takes your fancy the indie is offering a number of incentives to help out with the Linux, Mac and PC title.

The new +1 Edition adds new content not included in the mobile game from Behold Studios, such as new game areas, a longer campaign, a tavern, dungeon raids, and more loot. The game will run you $9.99,and there’s a premium Digital Deluxe Edition available for $14.99. The iOS and Android versions are available for $2.99, and everybody who already owns Knights of Pen & Paper on a mobile device will be leveled up to the +1 Edition for free.

Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition announced for Steam

17-BIT has announced Skulls of the Shogun for non-Windows 8 users called Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition. It will be released on Steam and includes all the content from the original, along with a four-chapter episode taking place after the original’s ending. It also comes a new character, the Tanuki, which uses taunts and teleportation skills. The game will release on Steam in July and it is now available for pre-order for $11.99. After the game launches it will run you $14.99.

Black Ops 2: Vengeance Map Pack out in July, teaser video released

Activision has released a preview video for Vengeance, the third DLC Map Pack available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Rumored earlier this week, the map pack includes four new multiplayer maps: Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink, a reimagining of the classic map Summit. Also included is the brand new Zombies adventure Buried, which features the new bonus Zombies weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II. Vengeance arrives first on Xbox Live July 2, with other platforms to follow.

Phantasy Star Online 2 still delayed in the west

Phantasy Star Online 2 is still heading west at some point, but the release has been delayed, according to SEGA. The delay in the western release was announced three months back when it was slated for an early 2013 release, so the fact that it is still delayed hopefully means you will still be able to play it at some point. Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode 2 will release in Japan next month, and the game is available on PC and Vita. Thanks, Kotaku.
