EA celebrates 30th anniversary of first games shipped
20 May 2013 marked the 30th anniversary of the first games EA ever shipped. In a San Francisco warehouse back in 1983, all of the then EA employees, including programmers and the marketing department, all came together to pack the first five EA games to be released and ship them off to stores selling Commodore 64 games.

Battlefield 4 will release on October 29, confirmed for Xbox One
Battlefield 4 will release on October 29 and will be made available on Xbox One, EA has announced. The release date covers current-gen and PC, and those who pre-order will nab the China Rising Expansion Pack. Players will “fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment.” Sounds lovely.
