PS4 shooter The Order: 1886 will give the players the ability to choose their weapons but will not have a weapon wheel system in place, unlike similar games in the genre. Creative director Ru Weerasuriya has explained the idea behind this decision.

Yesterday we reported on Game Informer showing off some new screenshots for the PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886. Now a few new ones have emerged on Sony’s Facebook page. There’s nothing startlingly new, but there’s a strong sense of how the game might play. The Order: 1886 is full of Arthurian-based lore, and today, Game Informer has posted a look at three of the knights in the game: Sir Percival, Lady Igraine – who is apparently not Arthur’s mother in the game – and a yet to be revealed knight named Marquis de Lafayette. Later on in the month, a deeper look into the main character, Sir Galahad, will be posted. Meanwhile, read the biographies though the link. The Order: 1886 is slated for release next year on PS4.

Sony Santa Monica has ceased working on God of War: Ascension and has moved on to other projects, such as The Order: 1886 for one. However, this is not entirely the end of content for Kratos, as the team’s community strategist Aaron Kaufman outlined today, also noting a digital release of the game on PSN later this month.

As if thatgamecompany’s Flower wasn’t pretty enough, the PS4 version runs at 1080p, 60 FPS according to Sony Santa Monica’s director of technology, Tim Moss. He is playing the game currently at the studio, and was tweeting about how gorgeous it was over Twitter. Flower was announced as a launch window title for PS4 during gamescom in August. Sony Santa Monica and Ready At Dawn’s PS4 game The Order: 1886 has some new screenshots available below. This one really caught my eye during the Sony E3 press conference. Seemed to check all the boxes for me, but I still want to see more of it first. You can find out more on the game through a previous post on the matter, and look at the trailer shown. More information on the game is promised at a later date.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is now available in North America for PS3 and Vita and reviews have started going live for the brawler on both sides of the pond. Scores are posted below.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is now available in North America for PS3 and Vita. The game launches with 20 first and third-party PlayStation characters and up to four players can battle it out online through 14 mash-up arenas, various play modes, team battles and more. There is also a single-player story campaign. Post-launch downloadable content through PSN will accompany the game in the coming months, and will consist of new characters, environments, costumes and more. The first characters to be released post launch will be Gravity Rush’s Kat and Starhawk’s Emmett.
