Jedi Knight II source code released to mark LucasArts’ passing
Raven Software has released the sourcecode for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy to mark the closure of LucasArts today. “We loved and appreciated the experience of getting to make Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy for LucasArts. As a gift to the persistently loyal fanbase for our Jedi games and in memory of LucasArts, we are releasing the source code for both games for people to enjoy and play with,” the developer told Kotaku. I can’t wait to see what modders and garage devs do with this delightful present.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy Mac now available via digital distribution
“Better late than never” is a familiar adage to Mac gamers, and if you’ve been hanging out for an OS-X friendly version of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, today’s your lucky day. The well-received 2003 action affair arrived on digital distribution platforms for Windows in 2009, but the Mac flavour has only now arrived in downloadable form on Steam, the App Store and Aspyr’s GameAgent. You can pick it up for $10, and will benefit from a whole bunch of bug fixes and modern hardware compatibility.

Bowling explains Raven and Sledgehammer’s involvement with Modern Warfare 3
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has said Raven Software’s part in the Call of Duty franchise was to help Treyarch with DLC as well as “random user interface and engineering tasks,” and it will be helping IW out with Modern Warfare 3 “in the same capacity”.

Report: Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward co-developing MW3 for November release

According to a report over on the LA Times, Activision has tasked Sledgehammer with co-development duties on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with Infinity Ward. This is according to “people familiar with the situation,” and will add to burgeoning rumors surrounding the next installment in the monster shooter franchise.

Video – Singularity’s Time Manipulation Device

Activision has put out a new video for Singularity, which is part one in a four-part series.
This particular one features the age and revert function of the Time Manipulation Device and how it works within the game’s environment.
Developed by Raven Software, Singularity ships for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on June 25 in Europe and June 29 in the US.

Rumor: Raven to develop map packs for CoD: Black Ops

Sources close to G4 are saying that not only has an unannounced stealth-action James Bond title been put on hold over at Activision, but that it was being developer by Raven and the team working on it has been moved over to Call of Duty: Black Ops, to create map packs for it.

Singularity – Cause and Effect video

The newest video for Raven Software’s FPS Singularity may be called Cause and Effect, but it really just shows us how cool it would be to bust some shit up and then put it back together again with the handy-dandy Time Manipulation Device attached to your wrist
Apparently, you can also use it to suck the life force out of someone. That could also come in rather handy, depending upon the situation.
