South Park: The Stick of Truth will be shown during VGX tomorrow night via a new trailer. Today, Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer for the reveal. Like the one for The Division released yesterday, it’s around 20 seconds long.
The Obsidian-developed RPG was previously set for a December 10 release, but will now be released on March 4, 2014.

Obsidian was at one time working on a sci-fi RPG called Backpsace, which had time travel elements and the player taking on the role of a cyborg.

It appears some work-in-progress shots intended for use in print have leaked for Obsidian’s Project Eternity. Looks pretty damn good to me for early bits. According to GAF, none of the shots show finished areas. You can have a look at them over on GameStar. Project Eternity is expected in April 2014 on Linux, Mac and PC.

Ubisoft just released the E3 trailer for South Park: The Stick of Truth. It’s below. Granted, some may seem familiar, like maybe the logos only have been changed – but who cares? It’s fricking South Park damn it, and we have to have the precious. We must have it! The Obsidian RPG is slated for release later this year on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Obsidian’s Feargus Urquhart and Bioware co-founder Ray Muzyka gave a joint talk during DICE 2013 this week, in which they discussed the future of RPGs. In the space of 20 minutes, the industry vets touched upon how to engage players, game monetization, and other tidbits. South Park Studios has filed a motion to halt THQ’s auction of publishing rights to South Park: The Stick of Truth in development with Obsidian.

Obsidian showed a debut trailer for its RPG, South Park: The Stick of Truth during the 2012 VGAs. It was an awesome video, and you can watch it below. South Park: The Stick of Truth releases on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in THQ’s “early fiscal 2014″.

Planescape: Torment has been rumoured for the sequel treatment following chatter from Obsidian’s Chris Avellone and one of the writers on the original Chris McComb. As Avellone is too busy with the Project Eternity Kickstarter, he has given McComb his permission to proceed with the game with Wasteland 2 developer InXile’s help. Set geekgasm sensors to ‘violent’.
