Defiance renewed for a second season by SyFy
Syfy has renewed Defiance for a second season by greenlighting 13 new episodes. Season two will begin production in Toronto in August for a 2014 premiere. The news coincides with Trion’s announcement of new content headed to the game end of Defiance, which includes five content updates for the year, with each one offering free, paid and micro-transaction items along with a new playable species on the docket.

Wildstar developer video demonstrates importance of movement, double jump
Wildstar has a new video in which developer Carbine Studios discusses gameplay mechanics and how movement plays a major role in every part of the game. Even double jumping will be important in some instances, such as when you are exploring high places with platforms and missing one means death. You can watch the video below. EVE Online: 3,000 players celebrate 10th anniversary with Flight of a Thousand Rifters III
EVE Online players celebrated the 10th anniversary of the space MMO by getting together and battling it out. While there were planned events organized by CCP, players themselves organized the “Flight of a Thousand Rifters III”. The goal? To destroy Nyx Supercarriers, the largest ships in the game, only using Frigates -which are the smallest. 3,000 players participated, and you can get a look at how things went below, courtesy of Scott Manley. Lord of the Rings Online dev to close abandoned player homes in next update
Lord of the Rings Online developer Turbine will be taking virtual bulldozers to abandoned homes in its MMO as of Update 11.. Players who own the buildings will have two months to pay off their debts or face eviction.


Xbox One does not require always-on connection
