The Wonderful 101 has received a European launch trailer ahead of its August 23 launch. It hits North America on September 15. The clip shows Earth’s heroes pummelling giant mecha dragons and tanks with their Unite Morph abilities. It’s quite epic.

During the Nintendo Direct session today focused entirely on Platinum Games’ The Wonderful 101, the game’ combat system was explained along with the announcement that demo is now available through the eShop in Europe and Japan. No word on when it will be coming stateside just yet, but the game is out in North America on September 15. You can watch a the Nintendo Direct session and another video for the game below.

A survey linked form the official Metal Gear Solid website asks fans for feedback about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and whether they’d like a sequel. It’s a lengthy affair but US residents are eligible for a prize draw if they participate. The survey doesn’t offer many hints about what direction a sequel might take, but discusses an earlier or later story; human or cyborg enemies; and more.

The Wonderful 101 won’t need DLC because Platinum Games has already put everything it can into it, according to project lead Hideki Kamiya. “We put all we want to do in 101 so you don’t need DLC, I think,” the outspoken developer said on Twitter. The Wonderful 101 is coming exclusively to Wii U in August and will be about 20 hours long – with lots of replayability.
