Unusual, toddler-centric horror adventure Among the Sleep has been successfully funded on Kickstarter, managing to raise its $200,000 goal with time left on the clock. Things had been looking a little hairy, but Krillbite recently made an alpha version of the game available to all comers, rewarding existing backers with access to a new version and the eventual beta. Visit the project’s Kickstarter to check it out. If you’re keen to chip in, you have about two and a half days remaining at time of writing.

With 40 hours left on the clock, DarkSeas Games’ Road Redemption Kickstarter has been funded. The initial funding goal was $160,000, and 3,929 backers funded it with $163,315 in pledges. Olympus Games CEO Skylar Kreisher has issued a statement addressing Garry’s Mod creator Garry Newman’s willingness to go to court over the question of who can use the term “GMOD”. The developer expressed regret that it has come to daggers drawn, swearing it had no intention to “attack” another developer and vowing only friendly intentions.

GTFO: A Film About Women in Gaming, a film by Shannon Sun-Higginson exposing the harassment of women in video games, has met its $20,000 Kickstarter goal. The documentary promises to contain “gamers, bloggers, scholars, developers, and other experts,” discussing and revealing the experiences of women in the gaming world, both good and bad. The Kickstarter for unusual PC controller Stinky Footboard has been successful, netting an additional $4562 over its original $75,000 goal at close of funding this week. The peripheral will now go into full production and is expected to retail at $119 in June.
