Platinum to fund Wonderful 101 Switch and PS4 ports through Kickstarter - report
It looks like Platinum Games may be about to drop a big Wonderful 101 announcement.
The Wonderful 101, a beloved Nintendo Wii U game from storied Japanese developer Platinum Games, is said to be in the works for Switch and PS4.
That's according to Gamexplain, who revealed that Platinum will be taking the project to Kickstarter. The report gives context to Platinum's seemingly random tease last week.
Journalist Liam Robertson also said that the rumour is accurate, and that the project is set to go live today on Kickstarter. According to Robertson, Platinum decided to go the Kickstarter route after failing to get publisher funding for the new ports.
Platinum (apparently) pitched it around to different publishers. Nobody wanted it. Nintendo certainly didn't want it. Kickstarter is a back-up plan.

As Gamexplain notes, there's currently a Platinum Games Inc. Kickstarter profile with zero listed projects. Assuming that is indeed the studio's official account, it will soon link to a full Kickstarter project.
