Wolfenstein 3D re-rated on Xbox Live & PSN, May 31st release date emerges
Wolfenstein 3D has been re-certified for Xbox 360 and PS3 by the ESRB, and has spawned a new Xbox Live Arcade page with a May 31st release date. Given the recent reveal of Wolfenstein: The New Order, it’s certainly a curious thing.

QuakeCon 2013 will take place in August
QuakeCon 2013 will take place August 1 – 4, 2013, Bethesda has announced. It won’t cost you a thing to attend, and it will be located at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. For the 18th years in a row, the vent will host the North America’s largest Bring-Your-Own-Computer LAN party, and the firm will be showing off upcoming game titles to the public for the first time, while also providing a chance to go hands on. RAGE Tool Kit coming to Steam today
Bethesda has announced that the RAGE tool kit will be released through Steam today. We looked on the site, and it doesn’t seem to be there just yet, so check back later on. The tool kit contains the “same tools used to create RAGE and it’s DLC, The Scorchers and provides everything you need to get started with modding the first-ever idTech 5 title.” The download is over 35GB, and before you download it, you may wish to read the id documents posted on the Bethesda Blog which in part discuss what “technically sophisticated and adventurous” modders will need to know beforehand. The kit will be available through the Tools section of Steam.

RAGE: The Scorchers DLC and Sleeping Dogs Zodiac Tournament Pack hit PSN next week
RAGE will be the recipient of DLC next week on PSN with the long-rumored The Scorchers DLC. Sleeping Dogs players will also be privy to the Zodiac Tournament Pack. This is according to the latest PlayStation Blogcast over on the US PS Blog, which Joystiq listened in on. Details on the RAGE DLC weren’t noted, but Trophies outed point to Ultra Nightmare Difficulty and a new job. Sleeping Dogs DLC will contain a new island, more fight moves, and new duds.

DOOM Classic Complete bundles first two games for PSN
DOOM Classic Complete is headed to the PlayStation Network this week, according to the Bethesda Blog. It bundles together DOOM and extra episode Thy Flesh Consumed along with DOOM II with its No Rest for the Living and The Master Levels expansions, all for $14.99/£11.99/€14.99. The Collection was outed earlier this week by trophies and the PS Blog.

Original DOOM 3 and Resurrection of Evil expansion return to Steam
The original 2004 version of DOOM 3 is back on Steam due to popular demand, Bethesda has announced. It’s expansion, Resurrection of Evil, is also available, and both at a lower price point. This week you can pick up the DOOM 3 pack discounted at $12.99; DOOM 3 for $9.99; and Resurrection of Evil for $4.99. Those who own the BFG Edition of the game can also look forward to the release of GPL source code “in the near future.” Head over to Steam for more information.

RAGE mod tools still inbound
RAGE fans have been waiting for mod tools since the multi-platform shooter launched a year ago, but a tweet from id’s John Carmack suggests they’re still in the works. Carmack says the modding suite is due “real soon now” but has been delayed by work DOOM 3: BFG Edition; he also mysteriously referenced “poor decisions on this all year”.

DOOM 3: BFG Edition now available in US, watch the launch trailer here
DOOM 3: BFG Edition is available now in North America and will release on Friday in the UK for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. BFG Edition includes the original versions DOOM and DOOM 2, as well as the re-mastered versions of DOOM 3 and its Resurrection of Evil add-on pack. It even includes eight never-before-seen DOOM 3 levels in The Lost Mission. Later today, PS3 players will be able to download the game directly on PSN, and if you own DOOM 3 on Steam, between now and November 13 you can save $10 on your purchase.
