Quantum Break's soundtrack is up on SoundCloud

If you're a fan of video game soundtracks, you can now listen to Quantum Break's through SoundCloud.

Composed by Petri Alanko, who also created the score for Alan Wake, the music has been in development since the very beginning when only a "few presentations and tech demos" were on hand.

Speaking with Gamespot, Alanko said despite Microsoft wanting to leave orchestras out "almost entirely," he managed "squeeze in some" to give the tracks some flavor. His main inspiration, however, was Tangerine Dream's "early Moog system arpeggios" along with conceptual electronic music of the 1970s and '80s.

The live-action component of Quantum Break's score was composed by John Kaefer who told Gamespot the live-action score and game music will be "complementary," but each has its own distinct sound and "thematic ideas."

If you head over to SoundCloud, there are nine tracks from the game listed.  If you like electronic music, or synth heavy offerings, you'll likely enjoy what you'll hear. We're personally rather fond of Beth and Suite for Time and Machines.

Quantum Break releases for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on April 5.
