Techland’s Dying Light demo shows daytime level running on PS4

Techland’s Dying Light was shown during VGX this evening. The demo on PS4 showed a daytime level and some parkour movements, such as using a zombie for momentum. The zombies are formidable enemies, but they become more powerful at night.

A sledgehammer weapon was shown, as was a two-headed axe. You can feel the impact from hitting the zombies, and the levels were developed so that players will have many ways in which to get to their destination.

The game was developed using Techland's Chrome Engine 6 and the four player first-person open-world survival horror game is slated for release in 2014 for PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The demo is below.
