Riot offering a bounty to players who can find exploits in Valorant's anti-cheat software

If you can find exploits in Valorant's anti-cheat software, Vanguard, you could earn up to $100,000.

Riot Games is offering a bounty to players who can find exploits in the company's Vanguard anti-cheat software which has been deployed for the company's new shooter, Valorant.

According to Riot, those who find exploits within the software, which leverages a kernel driver to combat cheaters, could earn between $25,000 and $100,000. The company is asking for "high-quality reports" which represent "practical exploits leveraging" the vgk.sys kernel driver.

The actual bounty paid out depends on the impact and practicality of the exploit presented, and the exploit must work on the latest version of Vanguard.

Potential exploit reporters must provide a "working proof of concept" that can be run by Riot Games along with a detailed report.

Valorant’s anti-cheat software is always running in the background, something which has caused a bit of controversy in the game's community. Vanguard starts up as you start your PC, and runs in the background even if you are not playing the game.

The game is currently in an invite-only, closed beta.
