Team Ico HD remakes due in Japan September 22, new trailer

Sony has put a Japanese date and price on the much anticipated HD remakes of PS2 classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, as well as releasing a new trailer detailing the releases.

According to auto-translate of Dengeki, Japan will see the both games on September 22, for ¥3,890.

Contrary to earlier expectations, the games will not be bundled onto one BluRay disc as a collection, but will be sold separately - although at present, this seems restricted to Japan.

The revamped versions of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus will feature HD graphics, 7.1 surround sound, trophies, and support for stereoscopic 3D.

The two games will also be sold in Japan as a limited edition bundle containing a code to download themes for the PlayStation 3, along with a 100 page book, for ¥6,980.

Dengeki has a couple of screens of the games and themes, the cover art, and a photo of the bundle. Check them out through the link above, although if history is any indication, we can expect Western cover art to vary in some territories from that shown.

Since localisation work is already done, you can probably bet on a Western release in the same vicinity - expect an announcement at E3 if not earlier.

The official Japanese websites for both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus have been updated.

Thanks, Miladesn. Check out the movie below.
