Reggie: Nintendo not afraid of Apple, iPad
Nintendo quaking in its boots over Apple's iPad and iPhone? Not on your life.
Speaking with Kotaku, NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime said Apple "aren't even a mouthful, in terms of the gaming experience you get.
"[It] is not having an impact on Nintendo when you look at our business, our volume, our hardware, our software," said Fils-Aime.
"I've seen data that suggestions that while consumers are constantly downloading Apps, they play with them for a few times and then they are moving on to the next thing.
Fils-Aime further added: "Clearly it doesn't look like their platform is a viable profit platform for game development because so many of the games are free versus paid downloads."
Apple released the iPad over the weekend, with the tablet selling over 300k at launch.
As for Nintendo, it recently annnounced Nintendo 3DS for a release some time within the next fiscal year. More information will be coming at E3.
