How to Get Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee Rewards in Pokemon Sword and Shield

If you played Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu or Eevee on Switch last year, you can claim a special Pikachu or Eevee in Pokemon Sword and Shield. To claim your reward for playing the game, you need to go to the train station at the Meetup Spot on the map, which is just south of the very first wild area in Sword and Shield.

Go inside the station, and you'll see a couple that are stood just inside the ticket barriers. Speak to the woman, and she'll remark that you had a "special Let's Go adventure' with a Pikachu last year.

For doing this, she'll give you your very own Pikachu! This is the easy trick to obtaining Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield. If you played Eevee, do the same to the brown-haired man, and he'll give you that Pokemon!

How to Get Gigantimax Pikachu and Eevee

At the very end of the conversation at the Meetup Spot train station, both characters will remark that you should probably try Dynamaxing your new Pokemon. If you do this, you'll see that your creature transforms into… Thiccachu! Or an Eevee with huge neck hair, depending. Yes, both of these are Gigantimax Pokemon with new forms when they Dynamax, but the downside is that they won't be able to evolve.

Where to Catch Pikachu and Eevee

If you didn't play Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, then you'll need to venture out into the wilderness of either Sword or Shield. Firstly, you can find a Pikachu in the Stony Wilderness wild area, which is between Motostoke and Hammerlocke.

Secondly, you can find Pikachu roaming the Route 4 area south of Turffield. You can sometimes find a Pikachu around the area on this route that's just north of the Galar Mine. Eevee can also be found in Route 4, though it's a lot rarer.

There's plenty of Pokemon content roaming in the long grass of USG. You can see Nadia react to the most horrific design of Sword and Shield here, or check out how Game Freak was surprised by the popularity of one specific starter.
