Play Rocket League, NBA 2K17 free and get online without an XBL Gold sub all weekend

Microsoft is hosting another free multiplayer weekend, and if that's not enough for you, Rocket League and NBA 2K17 are also free to download a play for the duration.

The free weekend starts today and runs through Sunday, February 19. Starting today you can also download both NBA 2K17 and play as much as you like until the aforementioned date.

Plus, Rocket League is also on sale this week for 25% off at £12/$15, which is a good incentive to pick it up if you liked it during the free trial. NBA 2K17 is also on sale for $20 off, so it will run you $39.99/£35.74 instead of $59.99/£54.99.

If you are unfamiliar with the free multiplayer weekends, it's exactly as it sounds. You can play online without an Xbox Live Gold subscription whether you own an Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

So, if you own a game with a multiplayer component, hop online with your friends and shoot things, solve puzzles, kill orcs or what have you all weekend long.
