Fortnite's next seasonal event could bring snow to the map as well as a mysterious castle

Fortnite might be getting festive this holiday season, if the A.I.M skin is anything to go by.

It looks like winter might be coming to Fortnite's battle royale mode, and players are speculating over possible map changes after a castle was apparently spotted inside the rift at Wailing Woods.

The first hint that the map is getting a seasonal makeover is the A.I.M. skin that rolled out in Week 7. The robot skin landed on the map via a parachute drop and is likely tied in with the next event. Players have noticed that A.I.M.'s hands and feet appear to be covered in frost, suggesting that a cold front could be on the way.

A handful of players have found further clues of an impending map update inside the rift at Wailing Woods. Reddit user super_star_BETA posted the screenshot below, stating that the image shows a castle in the rift.

If you look close you could see a castle in rifts from r/FortNiteBR

Other players have dismissed the screenshot as a nothing more than an illusion, with jmzofficial posting their own image that doesn't show anything:

There actually isn't anything inside of the Rift shards, it's an illusion based on the surroundings. from r/FortNiteBR

However another Redditor, Besart17, posted a video of the rift showing the same, vaguely castle-shaped outline that's exclusive to the Wailing Woods rift:

For anyone doubting that there is something in the reflection of the rift - here‘s a video from r/FortNiteBR

Both the skin and reflection in the rift have generated a back and forth amongst players about what the game has in store next, but for now, we'll just have to keep on bickering.
