Black Ops: Declassified - Treyarch's only hand in development was "to ensure accuracies within the fiction"

Black Ops - Declassified does not have Call of Duty mainstays Treyarch or Infinity Ward involved with the gameplay development of the Vita shooter, Treyarch has stated.

Speaking with CVG, John Rafacz, communications manager at Treyarch, said the studio has "not been involved with the Vita version," and Activision has stated the only involvement from the studio was on a consultant basis for the storyline.

"Activision is the publisher, but we also have a partnership with Sony to bundle Declassified with the PlayStation Vita," said an Activision spokesperson.

The publisher added that since the story in Declassified takes place between Black Ops and Black Ops 2 Treyarch was only consulted "to ensure accuracies within the fiction".

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Declassified releases in November.
