With Sony having released the Quantic Dreams Collection recently, which included Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, it's now time to take a look at how the former stacks up against the PlayStation 3 version.

According to analysis by Digital Foundry, the game's resolution received a bump to 1080p and an increase in in-game texture and anti aliasing quality. This, alongside the removal of tearing and delivering a more consistent frame-rate are one of the key changes.

Lighting and shadow detail has also improved, thanks to the addition of HDAO, which also came with an increase to shadow map quality as well as the number of real-time shadows.
