The Witcher 3 devs "eager to find out more" on Xbox One used policies

CD Projekt Red, a company with staunch anti-DRM policies, has said it is looking at the most "gamer friendly solution," to the DRM issue on Xbox One - as system it will be releasing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on.

Speaking with Eurogamer
, CDP co-founder and Joint CEO Marcin Iwiński said it had no direct confirmation of check-in polices or or DRM solutions regarding Xbox One until just yesterday.

"To be perfectly honest, we are eager to find out more ourselves [on Xbox One polices]," he said. "We have not received anything from Microsoft until today on this one and, before we form any definite opinions here, we would like to have this process explained in details by the platform holder.

"From our side, we will be of course looking for the most gamer friendly solution."

A publisher for The Witcher 3 has yet to be announced, but the original game was published by Atari and The Witcher 2's publisher varied by region: Atari in North America and Australia, and Namco Bandai in Europe.

The Enhanced version of the game was published by Warner in Noth America and Australia, and by Spike Chunsoft in Japan.

So, if the publisher of The Witcher decides not to opt in and allow The Witcher 3 on Xbox One to be sold second-hand, it could leave CDP scratching their heads on how to respond.
