Sonic the Hedgehog film delayed to February 2020

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been delayed into early 2020 in order for filmmakers to make the blue character “just right.”

According the game's director, the Sonic the Hedgehog film will now release on February 14, 2020. It was originally slated for a November 2019 release.

Director Jeff Fowler said on Twitter the extra time will be taken to make Sonic look “just right.”

The first trailer for  Sonic the Hedgehog wasn't received well, due to the Sega mascot's appearance. Fans took to social media for a proper roasting.

Fowler took to Twitter at the time to acknowledge and assure fans everyone at Paramount and Sega was “fully committed to making this character the best he can be,” noting some changes were going to be made to the CGI character.

Sounds like he is keeping his promise.

Thanks, Nintendo Everything.
