The new modes in DmC: Definitive Edition sound agonizingly difficult

The PlayStation Blog has posted a hands-on with DmC: Definitive Edition which includes more details pertaining to the collections new game modes.

According to the article, one of the new addition is Turbo Mode, which ups the game's speed by 20%, which makes fighting off hordes monsters much more challenging.

A new difficulty level titled Gods Must Die features enemies with their Devil Triggers active when spawning. There's also Hardcore Mode which contains a more "rigorous Style ranking system," modified Devil Trigger, and other tweaks to combos.

Players will also be able to "mix and match" the different modes, such as upping the difficulty level to Hardcore and then turning on Turbo.

Most of the new additions are also present in Vergil’s Downfall, the campaign which follows Dante’s brother after the events of the main story. Players will step into his shoes as he ventures into the Bloody Palace, which was built just for this campaign.

The Bloody Palace is a new arena with waves of enemies to "train against and dispatch in short order."

The Definitive Edition of DmC was announced in December and it includes the core game and all DLC presented in 60 fps and 1080p.

DmC: Definite Edition will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One March 10. It will be made available in both digital and physical formats for $39.99/£29.99/€39.99.
