Diablo 3 will run at 60fps "across the board" on Switch and in 720p undocked

Diablo 3 will run at 60fps "across the board" on Switch, and native 720p resolution in handheld mode.

Blizzard has said Diablo 3 - Eternal Collection will run 60fps whether docked or undocked.

The game will also display at native 720p resolution when it's not docked, and at 960p when not on the go, according to senior producer Pete Stilwell.

Other than that, "you shouldn't notice anything different," he told Eurogamer.

Stilwell also revealed to Kotaku it took the team at Blizzard around nine months to port the game to Switch. Around nine members of the team collaborated with Nintendo and Iron Galaxy (Skyrim for Switch) to bring the RPG to the console.

He also told Game Informer it would be rather great to see Diablo appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or have Pig Ganon appear in Diablo 3.

Diablo 3 - Eternal Collection releases this fall on Switch.
