Destiny players helped raise $1.026M for Nepalese aid

Destiny's Nepalese aid fundraising pulled in a serious chunk of change.

Destiny developer Bungie offered a t-shirt, along with an exclusive shader and emblem, with all proceeds earmarked for donation to charities assisting earthquake-shattered Nepal.

This scheme raised a total of $1.026 million, according to the latest Bungie Weekly Update.

In addition to proceeds from the shirt sales, the total donation includes a $50,000 gift from Activision, and $50,000 from the Bungie Foundation to match player contributions.

Nevertheless the vast majority of the funding came out of gamer pockets. Well done, Guardians.
