Minecraft XBLA to get card-based retail release
Microsoft has confirmed to MCV the XBLA release of Minecraft will get a retail release alongside the three other games in the Arcade Next line-up. The 360 version of the Mojang title will get a card-based release at GAME as part of the retailer’s current code distribution deal with Microsoft for Xbox Live content.
The game launches on Xbox Live Arcade on May 9 for 1600 MS points.

Minecraft hits $80M in sales with over 5M paid downloads
Financials filed by Mojang have revealed since Minecraft’s launch in October 2010, the game has accumulated over $80 million thanks to more than 5 million paid downloads.

Minecraft XBLA gets new shots from Xbox Showcase
Microsoft’s released six new shots of the Xbox Live Arcade version of Minecraft following a new showings at the Xbox Spring Showcase in San Francisco last week. The title is coming from Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie XBLA studio 4J Studios, not Notch and the Mojang crew, but this looks like a faithful version of the game from the PC SKU.
