Zelda Link's Awakening Signpost Maze - How to Make it Through the Signpost Puzzle
Here's our guide on making it through the Signpost puzzle in Zelda Link's Awakening as easily as possible.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is out now on the Nintendo Switch, and it features a maze revolving around a set of signposts. In this Zelda Link's Awakening Signpost Maze walkthrough, we'll be detailing how you can get through the maze of sorts as quickly as you can, without accidentally visiting the wrong signpost.
Zelda Link's Awakening Signpost Maze
After you've made it through the Face Shrine in Link's Awakening, you'll need to journey all the way up to the northeast corner of Koholint Island, where the Eagle Tower awaits Link. But before that, you need to backtrack to Mabe Village, because you actually can't get into Eagle Tower without one key thing: a rooster.
Head southeast of Mabe Village. Move the boulders that are just east of the item shop, then head south, using your Hookshot to jump a load of holes in the ground in a row, and then you'll arrive in the area for the Signpost Maze. You'll know you're in the right area because there are, well, tons of signposts around.
How to Complete the Signpost Maze in Link's Awakening
Start the puzzle by reading the signpost that's closest to where you entered the area. You can't miss it, since you need to walk past it while you're coming down south to enter the maze area. The Signpost Puzzle tasks Link with visiting all the signs in the area in the correct order.
When you read a signpost, it'll tell you to head in a certain direction, be it up, down, left, or right. You need to follow these directions to the letter, as the maze will try and catch you out by putting two signposts incredibly close together. The trick to solving the maze is to never deviate from the direction in which you're sent. If you're sent right, then stay going right, and don't go down or up, however briefly, to reach a signpost that you think could be the correct one to read next.
At the end of the Signpost Maze in Link's Awakening, an underground passageway will appear. In this small cave, you can pay 300 Rupees to a frog, to hear and learn the Frog's Song of Soul, so that Link can play it in the future on his Ocarina.
