The Wii U-exclusive contains real-time menu-based combat and four-player online questing along with diverse environments and the ability to use Skells, which are transforming mechs. These mechs are called dolls in the Japanese version.

Eurogamer notes the game will contain Skell-based combat, but Nintendo is keeping that under wraps for now.

You can watch the archived Nintendo Direct from yesterday through the firm's Twitch channel which also contains a Treehouse walkthrough.

Xenoblade Chronicles X releases next week on April 29 in Japan and is slated for release in Europe and North America sometime this year.
