The Witcher 3: Veni Vidi Vigo walkthrough

Here's how to complete the Veni Vidi Vigo quest in The Witcher 3.

Fringilla Vigo is not as grateful for deliverance as you might have hoped in the Veni Vidi Vigo quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Sorceresses, eh? Either way, you need to complete this quest if you want to finish the Battle Preparations questline.

This quest will start as soon as you arrive in Skellige again, and if you need a helping hand with things, here's our guide on how to complete the Veni Vidi Vigo quest in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Veni Vidi Vigo walkthrough

The Veni Vidi Vigo quest is one of three child quests necessary to complete the Battle Preparations questline in The Witcher 3. I suggest doing it first, before completing The Sunstone.

First things first, fast travel to the Marlin Coast, which is the closest signpost to your waypoint. Meditate until nightfall if necessary, then swim out towards the fleet.

You'll now need to avoid the lights. It’s much easier to do this on the surface, as underwater you can’t see the borders of the spotlights. Swim around and between the lights until you reach the far side of the search area – as opposed to the shore side, see? – and then sneak towards the big ship in the middle.

Its anchor chain is not lit up, and as you approach, guards will call that they recognise you, and stand down. Approach any other ship and you’ll be shot.

Fringilla then teleports you back to Kaer Trolde and the quest concludes. That was simple enough, right? One down, two to go. Now, let’s go off looking for The Sunstone next.
