Super Mario Odyssey is so big you're going to want to use a guide to find all the power moons. This Super Mario Odyssey Wooded Kingdom power moon guide is just what you need. In this guide to the power moon locations on Wooded Kingdom we'll detail how to find the power moons. We'll also help you beat bosses in this walkthrough so you can use the power moons to fly off to new kingdoms.

Super Mario Odyssey Wooded Kingdom Power Moon Locations

Here is our guide to all the Wooded Kingdom Power Moons we've found so far. Keep checking back for more details on all the remaining power moons. Numbers match with those on your Power Moon list in the game. Use this Mario Odyssey walkthrough to help you get through the game.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 1. Road to Sky Garden Power Moon

Following the red maze you'll see some purple poison and a number of Piranha plants. A large one sits on a special platform. To destroy a piranha plant, fire Cappy into them, then jump on them when they are disabled. Defeat the big piranha plant to get a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 2. Wooded Kingdom Broodal Fight - Power Moons - Flower Thieves of Sky Garden

At the top of the tower in the Wooded Kingdom you'll reach another Broodal fight. This one surrounds himself with purple poison which you can disperse with Cappy. After a few blows of air from the Broodal he'll run out of breath and pant for a moment. With a clear path to him, jump on his head. Repeat this process until the Broodal is Defeated, but watch out as the second and third rounds will require you knock his hat off before you jump on his head.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 3. Path to the Secret Flower Field Power Moon

You'll get this Power Moon so long as you keep progressing to the very end of the level, just before the climactic boss fight to bring an end to the Wooded Kingdom.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 4. Defend the Secret Flower Field Power Moon

Just like the previous Power Moon, you'll get this trio of Power Moons at the very end of the Wooded Kingdom, in the final boss fight that takes place in the Secret Flower Field itself.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 5. Behind the Rock Wall Power Moon

For this Power Moon, warp to the Summith Path flag, and head down to where the single Sherm tank is waiting. Possess it, and destroy the upper left area of the wall, where you'll reveal the Power Moon waiting to be collected.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 6. Back Way up the Mountain Power Moon

Warp to the Iron Mountain Path, Station 8, and possess the Uproot that's in the area just below. Smash through the bricks in the upper right corner of the area to reveal a new path, which lets Mario eventually go into a new 8-bit mode. Simply platform your way to the end of this area to claim the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 7. Rolling Rock in the Woods

A rock sat in the middle of some plants can be repeatedly bashed with Cappy in order to release a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 8. Caught Hopping in the Forest

In the opening area of the Wooden Kingdom you'll see a rabbit hopping around. Spin Cappy into the rabbit to stun it and collect a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 9. Thanks for the Charge Power Moon

Stand in front of the rock door and move when the tanks fire. This will blast a hole in the door. Inside the room use the robot to get a seed. Plant it to grow a stalk and climb to the upper level.

Once at the top you'll see a group of robots getting charged. Head over to the glowing empty terminal on the right and ground slam it to earn a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 10. Atop the Tall Tree Power Moon

To claim this Power Moon, begin from the Odyssey and follow the path just to the west that leads all the way around the area atop the ridge. You'll eventually come to an area with an Uproot, which you should possess and then use to climb up the platforms on the outside of a tree in the area, until you reach the Power Moon encased in the plant at the top.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 11. Tucked Away Inside the Tunnel Power Moon

You can actually to get to this next Power Moon from the location of the last one, so stay in the Uproot form and head north till you drop down to the river. Follow the river against the current, and you'll find yourself facing a Fire Bro. Despatch the Fire Bro, then position the Uproot so that when you stretch up to maximum height, you're just in front of the ledge with the seed case on. Now, jump as the Uproot, change back into Mario while you're in the air, and you'll grab onto the ledge. All you have to do now is destroy the shell, and the Power Moon is yours.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 12. Over the Cliff's Edge Power Moon

From the Summith Path flag, head east to the area with the Sherm tank, and then look to the right when you're at the southern edge of the area, where you'll find a path of platforms. Carefully make your way along these until you obtain three purple currency items, and then head into a new challenge area. In this area, you'll have to carefully swing from pole to pole, all the way until you reach the shell containing the Power Moon and exit pipe at the end.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 13. The Nut Round the Corner Power Moon

Head over to the right of the small pond to the area in front of the tanks. Make your way round using the plant creature, eventually reaching a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 14. Climb the Cliff to get the Nut Power Moon

Take a seed from the seed robot inside the room that had the brick door. Carry this to the starting area and plant it on the seed platform in the corner. This will grow a stalk. Climb it to reach a new area. Follow the path of the river and you'll eventually come to a lever. Pull it and the gate will open. Possess the plant creature and make your way up the cliff until you reach the end and a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 15. The Nut in the Red Maze Power Moon

Make your way through the main area of the wooded Kingdom by talking to the Sphinx (answer is "flowers"). Head towards the vertical maze and possess one of the strange plant creatures that grows long legs. In the maze make your way up and extend into the plant to reveal a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 16. The Nut at the Dead End Power Moon

To the side of the power moon collected from the giant piranha plant is a small gap in the fence. Head through here and possess the plant creature to reach the end and collect a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 17. Cracked a Nut on a Crumbling Tower Power Moon

Once you've activated the bridge after the giant piranha plant you'll reach an area with a pressure pad and crumbling path to the right. Head right and jump up to the top to get a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 18. The Nut that Grew on the Tall Fence Power Moon

Go to the Summit Path flag, capture the Uproot nearby, then make your way back up to the flag. Now look west just beyond the railing, to see a path of different platforms leading away from the area. Make your way to the other side of the raised section on the platform, and smash the shell to uncover the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 19. Fire in the Cave Power Moon

Head to the left of the main industrial structure in the Wooded Kingdom. Hit the scarecrow and it will open a gate. Through the gate is a fire koopa. Take him out with Cappy and you'll earn a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 20. Hey Out There, Captain Toad Power Moon

Start out from the Observation Deck flag just north of the Summit Path flag, and possess Glydon using Cappy. Now face east, and fly your way to the tiny island, where you can find Captain Toad and his Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 21. Love in the Forest Ruins Power Moon

Just before you first used the flowers to ascend up the ramp for the first time in the Wooded Kingdom, you'll be in an area full of Goombas. If you collect all of them on top of one another to form the tallest Goomba stack possible, and then waddle over to the female Goomba on the platform, you'll obtain this Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 22. Inside a Rock in the Forest Power Moon

Head to the Summit Path flag, then capture the Sherm tank to the east. Now roll off the edge of the area to where the Odyssey is stationed, and destroy the pile of rocks nearby, revealing the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 23. Shopping in Steam Gardens Power Moon

Head to the shop in the Wooded Kingdom, right near the start area, and you can buy a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 24. Nut Planted in the Tower Power Moon

After taking the flower bridge to the tower, starting climbing up until you reach an alcove. Wall jump up here to collect a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 25. Stretching Your Legs Power Moon

Warp to the Sky Garden Tower flag, but head back indoors. Now descend until you can capture an Uproot, and make your way back up the platforms until you reach the very top, right before the door out to the flag. Go to the middle of the platform, extend as high as you can, and then jump to capture the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 26. Spinning Platforms Power Moon

To get this Power Moon, warp to the Observation Deck, possess the Glydon, and then glide your way down to the hidden platform with the green pipe. Be warned that there are two platforms with green pipes, but you want the one to the left of the spinning wheels. Once you're through the pipe, crack the shell to reveal the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 27. Make the Secret Flower Field Bloom Power Moon

Head to the Secret Flower Field Entrance flag, and drop down into the former boss arena. You'll now have to quickly hit all the flowers with Cappy in order to make the Power Moon appear.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 28. Rolling Rock in the Deep Woods Power Moon

To get to this new area, start at the Odyssey, make your way onto the ridge path to the west, and drop off. Instead of voiding out, you'll land in the Deep Woods, and you can get the next Power Moon by making your way to the other end of the area, and repeatedly kicking the glistening rock on the floor until it reveals the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 29. Glowing in the Deep Woods Power Moon

From the starting area of the Deep Woods, head left until you find a stream, then follow it downhill until you come to the scarecrow. To initiate the timer challenge, throw Cappy onto the scarecrow, and head back up the the hill, heading diagonally away from the stream. You should have a seed dispenser to your right while your running, and the Power Moon can be found on a blue pedestal.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 30. Past the Peculiar Pipes Power Moon

In the Deep Woods (drop down the side of the main area) you will find a warp pipe that leads to a set of two pipes, which then leads to another set of pipes. Enter them in this order:

  • 2 pipes: Enter Left Pipe
  • 3 pipes: Enter Left Pipe
  • 5 pipes: Enter Middle Pipe

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 31. By the Babbling Brook in the Deep Woods Power Moon

To get this Power Moon, drop into the Deep Woods, and head to the east. At the edge of the area, you'll encounter a seed machine near a set of rocks. You'll now have to capture the T-Rex in the area, use it to destroy the rocks, and then ground pound the glistening spot on the ground to capture the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 32. The Hard Rock in Deep Woods Power Moon

In the Deep Woods there are a lot of bricks that the dinosaur will break if he chases you and hits them (or you can tire him him by making him chase you, then possess him). Hit the bricks seen in the pic above and you'll find an area you can stomp to release a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 33. A Treasure Made From Coins Power Moon

Once again in the Deep Forest, you'll have to capture the Coin Coffer roaming the area for this Power Moon. After you've caught the Coin Coffer, you'll have to find the small green leaf in a pool of water, and then repeatedly spit coins at it using the coffer, until the Power Moon appears above it. It'll take roughly 500 coins, but when it does appear, climb up the nearest tree and hop off to claim the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 34. Beneath the Roots of the Moving Tree Power Moon

To claim this Power Moon, find the Christmas tree in the Deep Woods, and capture it with Cappy to move it. In the space vacated by the tree, there'll be a spot you can ground pound to reveal the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 35. Deep Woods Treasure Trap Power Moon

In the Deep Woods there is a warp pipe on the side of a massive tree. Enter this and you'll see three treasure chests. Open then in this order: Middle, Left, Right. You'll get a power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 36. Exploring for Treasure Power Moon

For this section, make sure you're wearing the Explorer's Outfit, and then drop down into the Deep Woods. Now, find the NPC guarding the locked door within the waterfall, and speak to them to unlock the door, revealing the Power Moon within.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 37. Wooded Kingdom Timer Challenge 1 Power Moon

Right next to the Iron Road Halfway Point flag is a scarecrow, which you'll have to throw Cappy on to start the timer challenge. You'll now have to move quickly up the poles, using your momentum to swing in the desired direction, and reach the top of the set before the timer expires.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 38. Wooded Kingdom Timer Challenge 2 Power Moon

For the second Timer Power Moon, warp to the Charging Stations flag, and activate the scarecrow in the charging station with Cappy. You'll now have to quickly ascend the moving platforms, using jumping between the charging stations themselves to start off with, and claim the Power Moon at the top.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 39. Flooding Pipeway

Enter the warp pipe in the pond. Complete the course and you'll be awarded with a power moon at the end.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 40. Flooding Pipeway Ceiling Secret Power Moon

Enter the warp pipe in the pond. From here you can find a secret power moon by performing a back flip in the location seen above. Then wall jump to the top and collect the power moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 41. Wandering in the Fog Power Moon

Warp to the Charging Station flag, and then use Cappy to reach the rocket on the platform, possessing it to fly to the next area. In this foggy section, your goal is to continue following the trail of coins to pick up the five shards of the Power Moon. The first three are simple, but the final two involve you possessing a Goomba and flying underneath the central platform, and coming back up on the other side.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 42. Nut Hidden in the Fog Power Moon

This Power Moon is located in the same fog area, where the two Goombas were circling round the single platform. When you're approaching the platform from the start of the area, possess a Goomba and drop down to the left of the platform. You'll land on a new platform, with a seed you can smash to reveal the Power Moon.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 43. Flower Road Run Power Moon

Warp to the Iron Path, Station 8 flag, drop back down the slope with the rings, and head along the path to the left once you reach the bottom, which will lead you do a door. In this new area, you need to stand on one P button after another to initiate new paths, ignoring the Goombas for this Power Moon. All you have to do is reach the end of the zone, and the Power Moon is yours.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 44. Flower Road Reach Power Moon

This Power Moon is exactly the same as the one above, except as you're making your way around the course, you'll need to capture all the Goombas, forming one big Goomba tower. Now, walk up to the tower platform blocking your progress, and jump off the Goomba tower as Mario, landing on the platform and claiming the Power Moon for yourself.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 45. Elevator Escalation Power Moon

Warp to the Summit Path flag and use the flowers to boost yourself up the slope, but instead of heading off the path to the next flag on the left, continue upwards to find a secret ledge on the right, where you can open a door and enter a new area. You'll now have to possess a Sherm tank and make your way through a combat course, taking out Goombas and other Sherm tanks, and standing on P pads to reach the very end of the course, to claim the Power Moon for yourself.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 46. Elevator Blind Spot Power Moon

In the exact same location as the previous Power Moon, possess the Sherm tank at the very beginning of the stage, and turn around to see a rock pile high up on the wall. Destroy this with the Sherm tank's canon, and the Power Moon will fall down for you to claim.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 47. Walking on Clouds Power Moon

To reach this new area, warp to the Iron Path, Station 8, and head upwards to claim a seed from the dispenser. Now head back and find the P platform and activate a timer challenge, which you should take the seed up through and to the Observation Deck flag, where you can throw the seed onto a patch of soil, and follow the vine upwards to a new area. In this new area, you have to possess the Uproot, and platform all the way to the end of the section, where you can stretch up to reach the Power Moon, right before the blue platform takes you back down to the Observation Deck.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 48. Above the Clouds Power Moon

To get this Power Moon, go back to the previous challenge area above the Observation Deck, and roughly halfway through the area, you should see a group of purple currency items above you, while you're above the moving blue platform. Reach up with the Uproot and jump up as Mario to claim the Power Moon. Don't worry about getting trapped here, as the moving blue platforms are on a constant cycle.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 49. Secret Path to Wooded Kingdom Power Moon

This Power Moon is actually in the very first area of the Metro Kingdom, beyond the Odyssey's landing point. Head behind the Odyssey, and drop down onto the lower ledge, entering the picture to find the Power Moon in a cage in the Wooded Kingdom.

Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 50. Found With Wooded Kingdom Art Power Moon

You'll actually need to head back to the Sand Kingdom for this Power Moon, and find the Koopa just north of the Oasis. From here, head straight north, past the gaping hole left in the ground by the Inverted Pyramid, until you come to two bushes. Ground pound while standing in the middle of the bushes, and the Power Moon will jump out of the ground for you to claim.
