Next Kingdom Hearts title won't be KH III, says Nomura

Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts III? Don't expect it for a long, long time. The next title in the Disney/Square hybrid RPG series won't be the much asked for sequel, according to creator Tetsuya Nomura.

Speaking in this week's Famitsu, where he already said his current project FF Versus XIII may not make E3 in the same interview, he also revealed the main character for the next game in the series won't be Sora.

Instead, it will be someone who's played an integral part of the story so far.

Nomura also said he expects new Kingdom Hearts games to come out in some form or another every year from now on.

You can safely assume something will be out next year in Japan after the release of Birth By Sleep earlier in the year.

As for Kingdom Hearts III itself, when asked if it would release in 2012, Nomura refused to answer.

Despite that, it is coming. Or at least it is at some point.
