Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain - Cloaked in Silence Mission Objectives

  • Eliminate Quiet
  • Determine what to do with Quiet
  • Neutralise Quiet without hitting her with lethal weapons
  • Neutralise Quiet with non-firearm attacks

Eliminate Quiet

This mission will kick off after you set out on the side ops mission to find Emmerich. You'll narrowly avoid a bullet to the face and take cover, starting off this episode.

DD is indispensable when it comes to getting eyes on Quiet's location as she zips around the terrain. It's also worth noting that you can't kill her with lethal weapons, so if that's the route you choose to go down, open fire and don't sweat it. Each successful hit will prompt her to move to a new location, so have patience, utilise cover, and keep on her tail until she goes down.

Neutralise Quiet - non-lethal

You'll need to be wily to neutralise Quiet without using a lethal weapon. The funniest - and most expensive - way is to call in a supply drop on her position. Having accidentally killed my horse with one, I can assure you that this is a surefire way to take her out.

The impact will shave off half of her health, but be aware that if she moves before it hits her, you'll have to call in another one, and it could end up being quite costly.

Alternatively, wait for her to start prancing around in the water and shoot her with a tranquiliser if you're having trouble getting close. Repeat until she drops.

Determine what to do with Quiet

To kill or not to kill? Frankly, I don't know if you can kill her, but if you feel so inclined, pull the trigger while she's lying on the ground and see what happens.

If you take her back to Mother Base, you just got yourself another buddy.
