Watch this Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer since you couldn't watch the stream

Dragon Age: Inquisition was the first game shown in EA's gamescom 2014 stream, but you probably didn't get much of a chance to see it - so watch this trailer instead.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be hugely dramatic, with great helmets, nasty monsters and lots of cool magic, is the message we're getting from this trailer, which was captured from in-game footage.

EA also showed a live gameplay demo, but the stream quality was best described as terrible, shading on non-existent. here's what we gathered:

Inquisition has nine classes, over 20 specialisations, oover 200 spells and abilities, more than 200 weapons and upgrade schematics, 150 armours and 50 materials. that's a lot of scope for customisation; good news is you can name items you've crafted.

The RPG boasts over 1 million words of dialogue, and a completionist playthrough clocks in at 150 hours of gameplay

The mission shown was a side quest which players could complete to strengthen Skyhold, the Inquisition's home base. The player, a female human warrior Inquisitor, was accompanied by Blackwall, Solas and Cole. They navigated a large castle area, fighting off undead and rescuing soldiers.

The mission ended in a boss fight in which tactical view was used to effectively control the battlefield, with the Inquisitor tanking and allies picking off minions.

The soldiers then joined Skyhold, increasing the Inquisition's effective strength - it sounds like it'll be somewhat similar to Mass Effect 3's Galactic Readiness.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is expected on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in November.

Tune into EA's gamescom conference; the stream has been vastly improved in the past few minutes.
