Devil’s Third will not contain a split-screen option but it will run in 30fps

Tomonobu Itagaki has said his Wii U exclusive Devil’s Third will run in 30fps, and will not contain split-screen co-op online or offline.

Speaking on Facebook, via NeoGAF, Itagaki said the game will be "enjoyable at 30fps," and takes full advantage" of Wii U's power.

The game will also not contain voice chat as the bandwidth needed for such a feature would cut into the 16-player online multiplayer.

Itgaki also said he recommends playing the game with a Pro Controller and a USB keyboard over the GamePad. According to the developer, buttons on the GamePad are a bit crowded which could cause players to hit the wrong inputs.

He also feels the analog sticks are also "too far apart," and it is not suitable for long play sessions which is how Devil’s Third was designed.

Itagaki also suggests using a wired Internet connection instead of wireless for a more seamless multiplayer experience, as Valhalla Games intends to "house tens of thousands of players" on the servers.

Devil's Third will release on August 28.
