Camelot Unchained dev refuses to take the safe route

Camelot Unchained's developers are willing to alienate the mass market if it results in a better game for a niche audience. In a developer blog, City State Entertainment's Mark Jacobs said he's willing to embrace features which appeal only to hardcore players, like slow levelling and a day-night cycle - things publishers wouldn't take a risk on - and cited Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online's bold approach to new and interesting experimental features. The MMO is to be crowdfunded.
