Call of Duty stream tomorrow - Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare remaster?

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare looks set for reveal in less than 24 hours.

A special Call of Duty event will be broadcast via Twitch at 10:30am PT May 2, Activision and Infinity Ward have announced. That's just 90 minutes after the resumption of this weekend's rad Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Messenger code game.

While announcing the stream, Activision sent over a video of Infinity Ward staffers talking about their history with the franchise. That's not going to put an end to speculation about remasters, is it? You can check it out below.

Although we expect this year's Call of Duty to be fully revealed at E3, an announcement now makes perfect sense - especially given the number of alleged leaks we've seen recently. These leaks gave us the title Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and a reveal date, and then revealed a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remaster bundled with the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare.

This year's Call of Duty will be Infinity Ward's first release since 2013's Call of Duty Ghosts. Activision now fields three Call of Duty developers, with newcomer Sledgehammer responsible for 2014's Advanced Warfare and Treyarch behind 2015's Black Ops 3.

Ghosts was something of a disappointment critically and commercially, following on from Infinity Ward's tremendous success with the Modern Warfare series, so we're all very interested to see where it goes next. Rumour has it Call of Duty is going to space.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - if that is its name - will likely release in November for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
