Call of Duty: Mobile hit 148 million downloads its first month, besting Fornite and PUGB debuts

Call of Duty: Mobile continues to pull in the numbers a month after release.

Call of Duy: Mobile hit 148 million downloads its first month on the market.

This is the second-best mobile game debut since Pokemon Go released in 2016, according to Sensor Tower.

Compared to other popular shooters, the title's debut outstripped PUBG and Fortnite for first-month downloads. During its debut month, PUBG saw 60.7 million installs and Fornite was downloaded 35 million times.

It's worth noting the latter's figures only take into account App Store downloads during its first month of availability as it is not available through Google Play.

The free-to-play Call of Duty title released October 1 with over 2 million installs. Its second day of availability installs hit 20 million, and on day four it had over 35 million installs. Within its first week, it hit 100 million downloads.
