Black Ops 2 PC to support dedicated servers

Treyarch's director of technology Cesar Stastny has confirmed the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will support dedicated servers.

Statsny broke the news quite quietly on Twitter.

Last time we heard from Treyarch in May, it was cautiously keen to support the eSports friendly setup but couldn't commit.

The decision not to support dedicated servers with Modern Warfare 2 was a major sticking point for the Call of Duty series, and Treyarch won plenty of good will be supporting the tech with the original Black Ops.

Black Ops 2 is expected in November on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
