Black Ops 2 matchmaking based on latency & ping, Treyarch confirms

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will do away with region-based, and favour matches made via latency and ping. Treyarch's David Vonderhaar has shed light on the change.

Vonderhaar took to Twitter to answer some fan questions on the matter, and the following conversation ensued:

Hopefully this change will result in less drop outs and host migrations, which have been an issue in Call of Duty titles for a while now.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches worldwide from November 13th.

Many thanks Charlie Intel.
