Assassin's Creed 2 is going free to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers from today, Microsoft's Major Nelson has confirmed. Consider this your friendly reminder folks.

Larry 'Major Nelson' Hyrb confirmed the giveaway on Twitter earlier this month:

I can confirm that Assassin’s Creed II will be the next free title released in the Xbox “Games With Gold” Program http://t.co/c7mRquZZHL
